Brother Paul John Mary
Canada Walk, 2010
Clergy
My name is Brother Paul JohnMary Weber, I'm 34, and I am a Franciscan Laybrother and Seminarian from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. I am the Walk Leader for this years Canadian Walk, and this is my third time on Crossroads. My first year was the summer of '99 in helping to Pioneer the Southern Walk. I lead the Central Walk from San Francisco in 2001. The dream to walk across my home and Native Land has come true. I am so Blessed to be with some of my brother seminarians and the new friends I have made. Walking on Crossroads across Canada this summer is a response to a call that I have felt for a long time. I have been asked whether or not I believe I will be successful in this effort, and my first thought was, whether or not I am successful, I will strive to be Faithful. Witnessing to the dignity and the sanctity of Human Life for me is the Most Urgent and pressing issue for Christians today, now more than ever. Proposing the Culture of Life to a society that imposes on us the culture of death is something I will do until my dying breath. Now is the time to be the Light of the World and Glimmer of Hope in the darkness that seeks to consume us. Crossroads Canada is a Pilgrimage of Hope to invite all in whom we meet to be encouraged in the fact that Life Triumphs and has the Final Word - We are the Ambassadors of Christ who is the Way, Truth and the Life! Our Blessed Mother will Guide and Protect us; as in the End, Her Immaculate Heart will Triumph - AVE MARIAS!!!
